Red Bull is turning up the volume for the second year with the return of its electrifying Red Bull Jukebox Songwriting Competition— open for submissions now through July 1, 2025. Songwriters from across the country are invited to present their best lyrical prowess for a chance to be judged by a powerhouse panel including multi-platinum singer, songwriter, and 2024 Red Bull Jukebox Alum BRELAND, Whiskey Jam’s Ward Guenther, and Red Bull Records executive Greg Hammer.
Red Bull 2024 songwriting competition winner, Gary Frost, stated, “Winning the Red Bull Jukebox Songwriting contest last year has really opened up some doors for me, within the past 8 months.”
Frost recorded and released two songs produced out in Los Angeles called “Rest Of It” and “Loves Life,” which are now out on all platforms. He recently attended the famed Key West Songwriters’ Festival, where he played alongside some of the best writers in town. He also played Ward Guenther’s renowned Whiskey Jam.
The competition is open this year for all aspiring songwriters. The top three finalists will win a trip to Nashville. The winner will win an all-expenses-paid trip to Red Bull Recording Studios in LA and one-on-one coaching from BMI.
This year’s theme is “Breaking Boundaries,” and songwriters can upload their song and lyrics on the Red Bull website here.
Additionally, the winner will have their song performed at the Red Bull Jukebox concert this year.

Red Bull Jukebox is an extraordinary concert in which the fans decide what and how songs from the artists’ catalog are played, allowing fans to experience a show in a completely new way. For over two decades, Red Bull has supported artists and local communities worldwide through live events, workshops, and artist collaborations, with last year marking the US debut of Red Bull Jukebox in Nashville, Tennessee.
